I did my weekly grocery shopping this morning. I needed to stock up on some things so I spent a little more than I normally would. With my coupons added to my Kroger plus savings I saved $74.00. Yeah! I budget for my family of 6 to spend $300/month on groceries (including paper supplies and diapers). According to my research the average family of 4 spends around $1000/month on groceries. That's amazing! I know that I could do much better so my goal is to get it down to $60-65/week. I know that I will have to be diligent and stick to my list and stockpile things on sale, but I am sure it can be done! I think the key for me will be menu planning. How did you do this week?
